NPS Ribbon Day
Nahunta Primary School holds a Ribbon Day after each 9-week grading period. Parents are notified so that we may attend as well. Students are awarded for perfect attendance, citizenship, personal best, sight words, etc. Emma Layne received a ribbon for knowing 30 or more sight words. She is really enjoying kindergarten. We were blessed with a wonderful teacher and parapro that both attend our church. There are also 4 other students in Emma's class that go to our church. It's amazing how God makes things happen. I love that my girl is around good godly people everyday.

Growing Like Weeds or Maybe Flowers!
School is back in full swing. The top picture is from the first day of school this year, 2012.
Emma Layne started kindergarten and Brooks moved up to the 2 year old room at Nanny Patterson.

These pictures are from the first day of school, 2011.
Emma was starting Pre-K and sweet Brooks was just a little guy.
These moments in time are passing too quickly for this mommy.
I hope I never forget how precous they truly are to me.

My Crafty Side
Time. Time is my biggest problem. Rarely do I get a chance to make fun/cute things. I saw this idea last week and thought it was adorable. Who doesn't love a good Nutter Butter. Yum! Happy Summer!

Buckle Up!
Brooks is the family "safety inspector." He always makes sure we are all fastened in our safety belts when we get in the car.
I thought this was funny. He was giving Emma's baby a ride in his truck. It appears that he is giving her the safety briefing, too.
A New Family Member
Grandma Blanche found this sweet little girl and she has come to live with us. Ro-Ro Anderson has quickly fit right into our family. I am very thankful that she is house trained and has the best manners.

Pearlie Whites
Emma has not had the best run of dentist visits. She normally goes in and comes out kicking and screaming. I am so THANKFUL to tell you all that she went to the dentist yesterday and was SO pleasant. She didn't even whimper. My baby is becoming a big kid.
Let it Rain, Let it Pour!
Tropical Storm Beryl brought us LOTS of rain, but we didn't let that slow us down! We just kept playing right through the showers. Why worry about getting wet, right?

Field Trip Fun!
Brantley County Pre-K Program had a end of the school year field trip Friday to the St. Mary's Aquatic Center. It was our first visit to this "water playground." Even though the weather was in the cool low 70s, Emma and some of her closest friends had a great time.
It's hard to believe that at the end of this week, I'll have a kindergartener. She has learned so much from her teachers this year. We were really blessed a with teacher who knows our Savior and I am so thankful.

Swamp People
For Mother's Day, Grandma Blanche wanted the entire family to go to the Okefenokee Swamp. There are 18 of us now in the Riggins/Anderson/Thrift/Paulk/McDonald clan. We had a great time! The kids loved the train ride and there are gators everywhere!

Just a Swingin'
My dad is the kind of guy who can make and fix anything. A few years back he made this tire swing for the grandkids. We all love it! Even us big kids get on it from time to time.
Brooks was too little last summer to ride by himself, but not this year! That boy loves the outdoors and wants to swing every time we go to Papa's. He is growing up so quickly.

Appreciation Sweets
Layton and I have been so BLESSED over the last five years with some amazing women who love and care for our children as if they were their own. This week is teacher appreciation, so we delivered Jerrry J's delicious cinnamon rolls with this label on the top of each box to the teachers at Wee Kids Daycare and Emma's teachers at Nahunta Primary School. It was a hit!
Notice: Sweet Roll (Cinnamon Roll), get it?

Psalms 127:3-5 Behold, children are a heritage from the LORD, the fruit of the womb a reward. Like arrows in the hand of a warrior are the children of one’s youth. Blessed is the man who fills his quiver with them! He shall not be put to shame when he speaks with his enemies in the gate.
Proverbs 31:28-29 Her children rise up and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her: “Many women have done excellently, but you surpass them all.”
