Mother's Day: Mulch, Mown Grass, and Mamas

There is something about a freshly cut lawn and new mulch. 

My love knows how to make his babymama feel appreciated.

Happy Hubby and my Happy Babies got me these great Adirondack chairs along with some stepping stones to go poolside.  Note the fresh mulch around the kid's pool.  This is our little slice of heaven during the hot summer months. 

  Happy Hubby also planted a new rose bush in my garden and added fresh mulch around the plants. Please excuse the photo.  The days just aren't long enough and night was upon us. 

Mother's Day was filled with time with the great woman in our family.  We had breakfast and attended church with my mom and granny followed by lunch with the Happy Hubby's mom and nanny. 

All in all, it was a wonderful Sunday.

Our Beauty

Emma was in her first beauty pageant at her school last week.  She did so well.  I had cooked up this horrible drama of how things would go down (to include lots of tears) and she did exactly the opposite.

  She was stunning!

Potty Party!

Mr. Brooks Layton is the potty king!  Just like his sister, he figured out the underwear wearing with the quickness!  It is so nice to be out of diapers! Mommy is happy, happy, happy!
